Operating businesses / seller introductions

Sell an Electronics Manufacturing Business

Equipment alone does not explain what your company earns. San Jose Business Brokers Ltd helps you begin a valuation conversation about customers, production work and the people who keep orders moving.

Show earnings by the work you actually deliver

Separate prototype jobs, recurring production and pass through materials. Buyers need to see whether reported margin comes from repeatable work or a small number of unusual orders.

Reconcile sales reports to financial statements. A rising order book does not replace collected revenue, and a large purchase order may still carry cancellation or delivery risk.

Describe the assets without counting them twice

Prepare an equipment list with ownership, financing, maintenance and condition. A buyer may value the operating business from earnings while negotiating separately over surplus or nonessential assets.

Inventory needs its own review. Identify obsolete components, customer owned material and stock needed for committed work. Excess stock can absorb financing capacity without adding equivalent value.

Make the handoff credible

Write down which managers control scheduling, purchasing and quality processes. If all decisions still come to you, explain how responsibilities can move without interrupting production.

Ask your attorney to review customer consent provisions and intellectual property ownership. A buyer should understand what transfers before relying on a major contract in the price.

Keep operating through diligence

Maintain current monthly accounts and production records while the sale proceeds. A drop in performance between the offer and closing can reopen negotiations even after months of work.
